ABOUT JORDAN NAHOLOWAA MURPH
Jordan S. Naholowaa Murph is a photographer raised on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi who is based in San Francisco. He spent almost ten years as a first assistant and technician in Los Angeles and Honolulu before moving to the Bay Area to pursue a career in photography in 2014. During that time, he was on staff at both Sports Illustrated as a field editor and technician and at the Los Angeles Angels as their Team Photographer.
Jordan's work has been featured in publications such as Sports Illustrated, People, Sports Illustrated Kids, The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, and Hawai'ʻi Business. His corporate clients include MAC Cosmetics, ESPN, E! Entertainment, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS), Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, Getty Images, Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels, USA Volleyball, USA Baseball, City of Anaheim, Union Bank, Silicon Valley Bank, The Chandler Foundation, and KORE Alliance.
Aside from commissioned work, Jordan's personal work focuses on documenting Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) culture at home in Hawaiʻi.
