I was born in the mountains of East Tennessee to a hapa girl from Kalihi and the son of a Hillbilly.

I was raised on the East Side of the island of Hawai'i.

I was fishing on lava cliffs in the middle of the night with just my friends seven years before I knew how to drive.

I was in high school when my teacher asked the class, "What do you want to be when you're an adult?" Only two of us answered. One said a famous actress, the other a photographer.

I was a full time photo assistant in Los Angeles for almost ten years.

I am based in San Francisco and Honolulu.

I am drawn by a portraits' ability to confront.

I am drawn by sport's ability to distract.

I am drawn to home.

I am drawn by memories.
